Since 1952, Hyde Festival Theatre has been a beloved cornerstone of our community, providing a welcoming space for creativity, culture, and connection. Over the decades, we've proudly hosted a wide range of performances, from local group productions to dance school recitals, and amateur dramatic performances.

Our mission is simple: to make theatre accessible, affordable, and inclusive for everyone. Whether you’re an aspiring performer, part of a local group, or simply a lover of live entertainment, Hyde Festival Theatre is here for you. We offer our venue for hire to local groups, dance schools, and amateur dramatic societies at affordable rates, ensuring that our theatre remains a valuable resource for the community.

As a non-profit venue, we are funded through a combination of hire fees, bar income, and grant funding. This allows us to continue offering an outstanding experience without compromising on quality or accessibility.

We’re also proud to offer a range of special performances to cater to diverse audiences. Our Relaxed Performances provide a welcoming environment for individuals with additional needs, reducing technical elements like loud sounds or flashing lights to create a more comfortable experience. Additionally, we feature shows with British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation, where an interpreter is on stage to make the performances more accessible to the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
