Our Organisation Structure

The theatre building is owned by Festival Theatre Hyde Limited (Registered Charity).


The theatre is operated and managed by Hyde Festival Community Association (Registered Charity).


Both charities have their own separate committees with separate members and operate independently of each other.


  • Festival Theatre Hyde Limited (525906)

    This organisation has seven listed directors on Companies House. They meet quarterly at the Theatre to discuss business.

  • Hyde Festival Community Association (525909)

    This committee run and manage the theatre. They meet monthly and are constructed by the following members:

    • 8 Constituent Members
    • 7 Individual Members
    • 2 Representatives from the Youth Council
    • 2 Representatives from the Volunteer Programme

    The committee is made up of 19 members. Guests can attend to witness meetings but should request to do so via the Secretary in advance.


    The 19 members are responsible for the day to day running and organisation of the theatre. 


    The committee is not paid and everyone on the committee is a volunteer.


  • Hyde Festival Community Association Trustees

    Currently, the association has three trustees and all of which are currently Officers of the organisation.

  • Hyde Festival Community Association Officers

    Every AGM, the following Officers are elected to lead the committee. They undertake additional responsibilities in the management of the theatre:

    • Chairperson
    • Vice Chairperson
    • Treasurer
    • Secretary
    • Safeguarding Officer
    • Public Relations & Marketing Officer
  • Hyde Festival Community Association Honorary Members

    Every term (year), the committee appoint a President and Vice-President to represent the organisation.


    For the 2024/25 season:


    The Position of President is held by

    Stephen Bailey (Comedian)

    (Since 2019)


    The Position of Vice-President is held by

    Julie Wilkinson

    (Since 2024)

  • Hyde Festival Community Association Team

    In addition to the 19 committee members, the organisation also has around 50-60 volunteers on their volunteer programme. They assist with the running of the theatre from the bar team, the box office team and the front of house team.


    The volunteers elect their own leaders every term. The leader and the deputy attend committee meetings to represent all of the volunteers and friends of the association.
